Master ice-cream maker Honza Hochsteiger,

born on September 17, 1980 in Prague, has been making ice-cream since 2002. He spent very long time working for important Italian ice-cream sellers in Cream & Dream and Cremeria Milano. Honza lived in Trent, Italy, for more than four years, gathering enough experience to start his own business. He opened an Italian ice-cream making shop Crème de la Crème in April 2015 at Husova street 12, in Prague and established cooperation with chefs from the restaurants Ambiente, with whom he creates special non-traditional ice-cream recipes used in their menus. To create these recipes correctly, he utilizes his personal experience and also education gained at the Carpiqiani gelato university in the Italian Bologna.

Honza is an expert on entire history of ice-cream craft-making. He studies historic origin craftsmanship and its' use in modern gastronomy. On his ice-cream, Honza uses only basic materials instead of so called base - white ice-cream substance with specific flavor added afterwards. His work is favored not only by his many satisfied customers but he was also given the title Golden Ice-cream maker 2016 by visitors of the 2nd annual Prague Ice Cream Festival.
